Pin money

My fingers are sore and my nails are now non-existent but sometimes making a bit of extra money can be fun....

A long time ago I used to make jewellery for gifts. With a bit of persuasion a friend suggested that we do the same again only on a bigger scale.
We have raided bead boxes and button tins to make our recycled jewelery and there is something very satisfying from turning something old into something new.

Apart from more holes in my fingers than a strainer we haven't got enough hours in the day to keep up with demand. Whoo hoo!

(This was a vague attempt to tell you why I have been awol from your blog - did it work?)

Explains a lot,Minx! A creative soul needs to be satisfied and satisfy!
They are beautiful! Am glad to hear that they're flying out the door! Are you going to create a catalog of your creations to purchase from?

Do you put your jewelry on Etsy?

hahaha, Minx! When I first found that pic, it was merely a speck, or a flaw in the pic. But there he/she was when I posted it! I
pretty much had the same reaction!

We seem to be surviving on 'word of mouth' so far, Petra. This not a business project, just some creativity earning a bit extra this month!

Eeek! When will I sleep, Babs?

No, I don't, Vesper, but it might be something to keep in mind.

I shall send you a magnifying glass for Christmas, Petra!

I have a secret, Jon, I have an unhealthy obsession with buttons but it comes in handy sometimes.

I am sure I could make you one, Miss Mule, just send me your measurements.
In answer to your wonderment - they have become early mornings!

How pretty! You are so clever and industrious!!

(Gads. My word verification is PREGR) LOL

I loves a little bit of bling meself, Debi. Trouble is I am wearing more than I am selling!

Stringing a few beads together is not particularly clever, Roberta, but it does all look very pretty.

Sounds like rewarding fun, Minxy, and the friends who will receive those gifts will be so very lucky.

I thought a clever Minx was a dangerous Minx. Or was that in the comic?

Oh whoohoo, looks like fun! A friend recently started making jewelery in her spare time and has got totally into it - she's created a website and is trying to sell her work online, at shows and local shops. Next you know, you'll be famous.

Oh, and how's this as an aside - I lent Dorcas to a "friend" who asked to read it. She subsequently "got" religion and now Dorcas has "vanished" never to be seen again. And I thought they stopped burning witches centuries ago. Hmph.

We don't know Debi...maybe she shouldn't be trusssssted.
She said she hasss not had time to visit usss, but she seemsss to have time to be making preciouses.
