Cornwall yawns...

...stretches, and starts to wake up from its winter hibernation.
The photo (courtesy of cornwallcam) is of Polperro. The cliff path winds around a small headland which played quite a large part in Coven of One.

Ooo! Aaaa!
As the small feckers have been known to say. In a positive manner of course!

This is lovely! I would love to visit and walk that path

If you click on the cornwallcam link today (stalking Cornwall in me main links), have a look at Carn Galver. It is about 7-8 miles from me and is one of the wildest places in Cornwall. Simply beautiful.

This is a life size picture the houses are so small because they are the homes of Cornish pixies. Round the other side is a aluminium smelting plant.

That's almost how I imagined the path in the book, Minx, but from the opposite angle! :)

Have you walked along the coast from St Ives to Zennor? And then stopping off at the Tinners ArmS?

Polperro is an ancient fishing village, Shameless. The houses also straddle a river that cuts through the middle of the higgledy-piggedly houses.

Pixies are known as Piskies down here, Mutley (probably because the Cornish ain't none to smart at the learnin' of the letters). If you're a Piskie down a tin mine, then you are called a Knocker (don't go there).
Anyway, you found me out. This IS Piskie Town, home of Tosspots Murderous Slagheap and the famous 'lead pasty' - which, incidentally, is only consumed on Pea Wednesday, and not three days after the Sock festival as stated in the guide book.
To correct you again, Mut, around the headland lies the sulphuric acid factory which has recently opened again after being absolved of all charges for killing off the entire population of Polperro in 2005.
No, just kidding - Garfield 'Slagmaster' Tregembo survived the holocaust as he was visiting his 'sister', Unity Bosom, in Bognor Regis.

That is a lovely stretch Jan, but I have to say that Cape Cornwall is my favourite place along that coast. A pint of the good stuff, in Sennen Cove, would go down a treat right now!

Did you know Zennor has mermaids?

Looks amazing. But we have nicer beaches here ;p

Oh how absolutely beautiful!
I wish I could be a-wandering there right now.
It is quite the stuff of dreams...
I once had a little silver Cornish Piskie, given to me by me Gran, but a horrid little girl stole it from me in Grade 5.
I hope it bit her.

If I start walking now, should be there in time for summer.

Put the kettle on.

What an exciting place Ms Minx! I shall be visiting soon with my entourage of 30 transgendered John Bull Impersonators !

Saaleha, I will deal with the beach question presently (big snort!).

DM - it will have done worse that bite by now. Has she got children - look closely at them?

Marie - move!

Jason - so are mine - they all moved to Michigan!

Mutley - how lovely. I look forward to meeting you but unfortunately I'll be out.

Debi - click!

We were hoping for the sofa...

I hope for a lot of things Mr Mutley. Having 30 transgendered John Bull impersonators and a dog on me sofa , is NOT one of them.
There are enough impersonators in me house anyway. Big Fecker is making an attempt at being a difficult teenager - he's doing quite a good job.I am accepting donations for my large phone bill.

Forgot to say that there are many/hundreds of Cornish artists that I like but Kurt Jackson is my favourite.
