I ran away to my back yard when I was little. Lasted a good 4-5 hours, but it got pretty cold. I had planned to live on my trampoline for the rest of my life. Aw well.

Oh we already have plenty just like him.
Got one of my very own infact.

And whenever I manage to find parent types to talk to, and I ask them quesions, trying to find out what I might be doing "wrong", I find they have kids like this too.

Oh how he went on and on, on Monday about how unfair it is that he doesn't have his own laptop computer. Like his life is sooo hard, and so full of struggles. And no amount of talk from us (about how most 11year olds don't have their own computers, or need them, and about how we were in our 20's before we had one) could convince him otherwise. Because of course, as he pointed out, we were talking about the dark ages, and he is talking about the techno age.

Tone of my child-"Where is my computer? Where is my ipod? Why must I alone suffer so? My life is just a string of endless disappointments." followed by "I am going to go shower now. Please do not mention any of this conversation to me again, when I get back out. I don't want to think about it anymore"

Ugh.
Sorry wandered a bit Off Topic, or bit too into topic. You can't apparently talk someone into have perspective (I keep trying). We will have to find some way to show him (or else give-up,and just endure the endless complaining, and long suffering speeches, till he is in his late 20's when perhaps he will be more reasonable).

sorry to clear myself on your blog, I feel lighter now though, off I go.
