When?

There is no movement,

under the sun

As ancient enemy

closes in, for the last time

Does God live in the west?
.

Oh dear, lost that as well as hearing? Poor you.

Omnipresence has been undermined, I'm afraid.

Powerful image. I'm going to file it away for future use.

Damn good question, too! But, since I choose not to believe in God...I'd say rampant capitalism certainly lives here.

I choose not to believe in rampant capitalism either. Unfortunately I don't think I'm making a difference.

A graphic reminder. Thanks.

An incredibly powerful and guilt inducing image.

Really stopped me in my tracks.

Well good, Amin. Perhaps it will stop you in your tracks long enough to keep you from returning to hibernation mode.
Welcome back.

Does God live in the west? .

No. The demon Profit Margin does.

Was that really Amin?? I've missed him!

Demon indeed, Roberta.
And yes, Amin is apparently up and about and is currently having breakfast.

Thank you, Miss Minx, for pointing out this ever-growing problem. When will these people learn to keep their rat-faced, fat-bellied offspring from begging in every public thoroughfare in Christendom? Surely they must realise we have places to go, things to do. It's just simply rude. Truth to tell, I'm often tempted not to stop--to just put them, once and for all, out of their "misery." But of course, one can't, can one? Anyway, thanks for trying. It can't hurt, I suppose.

One does what one can, poet.
At present we are plagued with their crying faces and starving bodies all over our television screens as once again our overplump nation is forced to buy a Red Nose.

Red Nose Day 2007 is on March 16th when you can happily laugh your way through the day and still do your bit without moving from widescreen heaven - buy a nose, it'll suit you.

At the risk of seeming indelicate, I think this time it's not merely a matter of money. If anything is to be done about this one, it's going to be done by soldiers with guns, opposing the soldiers with guns who are causing this latest round--by people sending their sons and daughters into battle, in other words, some of whom will die. Starvation porn is not going to do the trick, no matter how wide the screen, no matter how self-righteous it makes us feel. I don't think I'll be wearing a red nose this year, though I would if I thought it would help. I'm not enlisting, either.

A picture is worth a thousand words. This one is worth two thousand.

A few years ago the money raised by various high profile organisations came into question. Was the money actually getting to where it was needed? The simple answer was no, but far from it being traced back to the fundraisers themselves, it came to light that the money was being eaten by transportation and by the very governments that were being helped.
I also think we should all be enlisting and raising an army without guns to oppose crippling national debts and take part in the battle for the right to live.

If a red nose is all we can do for the moment - then buy one.

We can't be reminded too much. You have a way with images. I think this should be on billboards everywhere...Now there's an idea. Flyposting anyone?
