A collaborative poem

Waiting for scars.
*
The fist, an augured wind that blew
against a cheek that turned
away again, already burned
with shame
*
'Breathe' said the lungs
in a sweating cage of blank devotion
bidding joy and all emotion
to silence
*
'Stand' said the bone
a splintered act of moderation
lapis tattoo of adoration
a joke
*
'Steal' said the mind
to feed the poor and battered love
ragged-winged, bleeding dove
of misery
*
'Wait' said the soul
'be patient
time will heal, and
when there's nothing left at all to feel
try scars'
*

While Skint and Confusious argue I'll add my own comment.

That pic is hard enough to look at. Poor baby, makes me want to gather him in my arms...but I'm not sure he would understand the meaning of comfort.

God. He breaks my heart.

Far too jolly around here, thought we'd have a bit of misery for a change!

Skint, I wrote the words, John tapped them into shape, just like that!

I've always been out of control Confucious, besides who wants control anyway?

Being in controll is rather boring and doesnlt leave enough room for inspiration! When you go beyind your boundaries is when world history is written ;)
This is an amzing poem and really close to heart (that isn't english is it?) oh well. The picture is heart breaking though I feel I want to illustrate it LOL maybe in a second life when somebody grants me the control of time.
Really amazing!

Minx,
This is cracking! I'm ordering your book, by the way, as soon as Paypal sorts out a code or something or other. Is this trevaskis character in your household by any chance?

Sorry if you all want to slit your wrists now but I think that poetry shouldn't always be about dancin' daffodils!

John writes some amazing poetry but the bugger won't blog so you're out of luck!

And yes Shameless, Trevaskis is no less than the MD, who obviouly thought...if you can't beat 'em blog 'em!
