Yes, I love it, I have contacted the company in France to make enquiries. What does everyone else think? If this was a solitary image on the front of a book would it appeal?
I think it's a brilliant image - very evocative and yet, on it's own, simple. And I like that simplicity - it speaks volumes. You know what the say about good design - Keep It Simple.
Dear Minx, I believe I have been remiss here. When I saw the original link, I did not know/realise who KB was. Now I think I get the gist - big time! Congratulations and all the best!
Minx, I like the picture -- could also double up as a logo if done in more schematic form which is good for branding. But I am sure I have seen similar on other books - maybe Young Adult sci fi books eg the ones I get for Cathy sometimes. So do check out first to make sure it is new--- don't want people to be getting your covers muddled up with other people's, do you?
But it is a good strong image, and though I prefer the haunting night picture you posted the other day, this one would work better as a branding/logo if you are into that kind of thing.
Thanks CFR, bit slow there. YES, that's me and can we just get one thing straight. It is Bousfield as in House - field not Bousfiled as in Boos-field - very particular about that!
Ah, yes, now that I think of it there's a symbol on the front of Garth Nix books - Sabriel and the like. Not like this one, you see, but nevertheless...

is that pic something we could use for the cover? Copyright and all that?
have you got it in a higher resolution?
would you want to use it?

Yes, though possibly with some sort of spooky image inserted into the centre?
I like it.
Yeah. Like it lots ...
Is it just me, or is that image so very reminiscent of a nipple and aureole?
It's a good image, either way.
it's just you Amin
Not sure that I will look at this one in the same light again Amin! Next.....

Very nice!
It's reminiscent of a doorbell to me - a very nice image if one looks as the front of a book as a 'doorway'!
Okay, the nipple has got to go! I hear you.

No nipples then?

Minx, WHAT are you talking about??
CFR congratulated me on the news, she didn't realise that Kate Bousfield was me!
Or are you confused about my nipples?
