Litha

Today is a very special day for me for a number of reasons. I don't want to go into my beliefs as they are deeply personal and probably of no interest to anyone. Suffice to say that it is not only Midsummers Day (yes already) but I have been also been blogging for the dreaded three months.
I could say that it has been a ball and fade off into the sunset - it was only an experiment in the beginning - but something happened in between.

You lot!

Debi recently posted a 'thankyou' and I would like to do the same. You have put up with my weird meanderings, my rude comments and my uninteligible, late night, drunken, ramblings. You have overlooked my refusal to 'get serious', but I would like to assure you that there is a deeply serious person underneath all the tat! (Minx just pushes her aside!).
I have found so much more than I bargained for, learnt so much and 'met' people that I am now proud to call 'friends' - well, most of you.
My writing has taken a new turn - slower - but I am always one to go with the moment and this particular moment is beautiful!

I am probably rambling again, but I got run over by a unicycle outside Tesco's on the way home from work - yes really, large boy on one wheel = a gash on the leg and a cartoon lump on the head.
See, life is never dull in blogworld, just wondering when I'm going to wake up.

damn unicyclists just get everywhere these days. Bunch of them playing hockey the other day!

Oh dear! And, Whoopee! This calls for two drinks, one medicinal and the other celebratory.

I'm sure I speak for many people when I say 'Congratulations on the anniversary' and 'We're so glad you're here, Minx!'

I'm a bit of a Johnny-come-lately to hope to be included as one of the friends you've met online, but I'm planning to work my way into the circle!

Congratulations on your highly entertaining blog! I'm so pleased I found it.

Sorry about your injuries. Hope they heal soon.

Hockey Cheesey?? That's London for you!

Susan, no worries, you're in the gang!

Thank you Marie, have just found a sore spot on me bum as well but you probably didn't want to know that!

You had me worried for a second then. I'm not one for soppiness but, so make the most of it when I say - thank you for easing me into blogging, you are a blogstar!

"fade off" into the sunset? Blaze into the sunset more like.
Hope you pushed the unicyclist over (looks quite easy to do that).
Reading your post makes me realise I am up to 6 months on my blog now, and it is as much part of my life as the rest of my family. I use the word "family" advisedly becuase not only is my blog part of me now, but I am so enriched by the friends I feel I have made since starting out on this oddly impulsive and yet deeply rewarding venture.
Blah blah, bottom line_- it is a pleasure to know you Minx and long may your blog continue. However, you may want to vanish in a puff of smoke before I make my oft-threatened trek to the land of surfing and pixies or whatever you do down there when the lights are out ;-)

Skint, I didn't ease you into blogging, I crashed in and wrote crap all over your lovely blog!
And Maxine you are right 'fade' doesn't come naturally to me - too much of a drama queen for that!!

My cup overflows now and stop with the bottom kissing and let's get back to normal!
I'm off to light the last fire of the day and I shall invoke all the spirits I can to make us happy and healthy for the next year. Think of me when you're asleep as I see this one through to the dawn!!

Yes, but bottom kissing is obviously in order, Minx, since yours has a boo-boo! Happy Summer Solstice!

Now look at what you've gone and done. You've made me cry ... May the spirits be attentive to us all.

Wow run over by a unicyclist! And I thought I was having a bad day yesterday. Anyway, how sweet, but I definitely don't put up with you. I love reading your blog and it often makes me laugh out loud. I've also found the secret to inner peace through your blog and whereas before I just used to enjoy lying on the sofa, now I know I MUST do it everyday. ( :
PS Try Arnica for the bruises. I swear by it.

I swear by a lot of things...bugger, fuck, shit and bollocks to name a few!

Hi, Minx!
When I was a young girl I kept a diary. I never wrote anything very exciting in it, just about the humdrum world of a young girl who was horse crazy. Still, there was that urge to write something daily, and I did it without fail. When I got older, I wrote morbid poetry filled with teenage angst. "Lying in my bed at night, a feeling came to me. My lungs became all hot and parched. A light I could not see. A hand was gripping at my throat; a knife was through my chest...." (Well, you get the picture, and it's not pretty!)
When I got even older and had to pay r.e.n.t in NYC, I wrote for m.o.n.e.y. Now I blog for the joy of it. Yes, it's hard work, but something about it loosens the brain up, I think. I say what I want to say. (So fire me!) And I love hearing from fellow bloggers who click on over and see what I have to say.

Minx, congrats on your blogging self.

I've been blogging at-will since January and it has made me feel right with the world in a way.

Hope the bruises are healing ... Verilion's right about the arnica.
I just checked out my blogging activity. Although I officially started in January I only posted about once a month until May, when something clicked and I was in there ... This means I've been blogging seriously for less than 2 months - it was less than one when I went to Italy.
Time moves in a strange way out here in the virtual zone.

Oh God, can't be, I've known you my whole life Debi, surely!

And Lynne, thank you once again, honesty is a rarity in this world and it would be so easy to hide behind a blogging mask. Your site spurs us lesser mortals on and gives sound and sensible advice.

And comfrey is the best for bruising, as a hedgewitch I know always says!!
