Postcardland

Sometimes I forget that there is life beyond my window...
.

Gwithian village with Godrevy lighthouse in the background. The sea fog receded but will roll in again late afternoon.
.
.
Gwithian church
.
parts of the church date from the 13thC
.
I wouldn't mind resting here
.Around the corner to Fisherman's Cove
.
Just before Hells Mouth. The warm air was full of the coconut smell of the yellow gorse.
.
Shades of blue - no wonder artists flock here.
.Jealous (for once) of that bloody seagull.
Can you smell the salt?
.

Fantastic. I'd love to mooch around that graveyard. Are there any smugglers buried there? Glad you pointed out that it was a lighthouse, I thought it was agiant dalek at first! (Me and my over-active imagination!)

My favourite telly series is Dr Martin. Is the village where this is filmed located near you? My idea of seaside heaven is a knooky bay like the one glimpsed through peoples windows in the show.

Those word verifications get everywhere don't they, Marcus!

Most of the stones are worn smooth, Jon, I loves a graveyard too. The Cybermen live on the other coast and they like pasty's.

Port Isaac is where they film Doc Martin, Noony, it's about 25 miles up the coast from me. Plenty of 'heaven' everywhere here - you can't move for knooky bays. Your neighbourhood is quite impressive too.

Really beautiful, it reminds me a bit of where I live...the same but different.

Presentation is everything.

Gorgeous pixies, Minx!
Might there be room in Cornwell for me?

I can smell the salt, and feel the spray of the sea on my face.

And yes, I am jealous of the seagull too, what would I give to be able to fly over those cliffs and that sea on that day.

Sigh.

Thank you for taking us there, it is breath taking.
