It was a well-deserved win, Minx, for a brilliant bit of very poignant story-telling! And by the way, potatoes ain't just for eating - they make great missiles and you can making pretty print thingies with them too...
I love potatoes but sharon J above suggests it might a fun Mr Potato Head book. If so.... then here's the basis to the best mash ever.
Boil potatoes (some tattie types are better than others for mash) and then use an electric mixer to mash them with lots of butter and salt and lots of pepper. No milk. You could cook up a couple of carrots until soft and add them to the mash as you mash. Or any other veggie - parsnip is well wicked :-) Leeks work well too!

You didn't know what to do with potatoes?
You had to enter a contest to find out?
My dear, why didn't you ask me?
;)
Congrats!
well done Minx. Like I said on skint's blog, it really isn't a surprise.

Well done!
Is it "100 ways to add eyes, glasses, noses and moustaches to potatoes"? I have a copy and it's very good. You'll enjoy it.
Sharon, you're not suggesting Minx is a potato head, are you?
Hey that's great news Minx and do you think you'll be sharing some of those tattie receipes with us?
Congrats on a well-deserved win!
