The visceral earth

The mineral deposits from millions of years of dripping water have made stalactites and stalagmites of incredible proportions. The mix of iron, calcite and lead gave the whole place a 'living' feel, quite eerie.

The Vulcano landscape on the Big Island of Hawai'i has scenes very likely to this, no very big stalactites or mites though, but the colours are definitely very recognisable, and so beautifull!

Weird, isn't it? The earth just gets on with it, quietly.....
